HISTORY

We are located in the medieval inner city of Visby in an old pharmacy, ”Väduren”, that was established in 1896.

While considering the history of a pharmacy being housed in this building for nearly 100 years, we came up with the idea of chemistry, without chemicals, and BAR KEMI was founded.

We opened up in the basement’s old laboratory in 2019 and built an extension to the main floor in 2020. BAR KEMI is located on the main floor, while the old laboratory houses our chambre séparée and street food inspired lunch restaurant named LABBET.
